Mission Statement
Prison In The Wild is all about bringing light, truth and hope into the darkest, most isolated places in our criminal justice system. Our mission it to ultimately transform our nations existing penal system into a system of justice for all.
About This Cause
Our outreach takes on many different forms. We currently are the only Christian based organization that reaches into the 18-21 year old gang unit at Riker's Island. This is because this age group is considered the most difficult to transform. We also work with adults in the NY State Prison facilities and have bi-monthly programs currently running in Woodbourne Correctional, while hosting special seminars at Fishkill and Wallkill Correctional facilities. Prison In The Wild also provides re-entry programs and services for boys, girls, men and women who are being re-introduced to society. We also have been serving the homeless poputlation at The Bowery Mission for the past 37 years. We offer all our programs to every person and religion with no restrictions, all are welcomed.
