Mission Statement
Our mission is to bridge the gap between high school students and career exploration through internships and occupational experience. We aim to ensure students from diverse backgrounds acquire workplace readiness skills and experience, thus becoming more competitive as they apply to colleges, scholarships, trade schools, or enter the workforce.
About This Cause
Only 25% of High School Students graduate with work experience. That means 75% of students graduate without knowing how to budget, balance their accounts, have professional interactions and lack general work ethics. Ladders for Leaders exists to bridge that gap! We work with local businesses to provide high school students with real-world work experience prior to graduation. Students earn a minimum of $12/hour which is compensated by the business or Ladders for Leaders Fundraising and donations are how we are able to pay the students so all contributions are greatly appreciated!
