Mission Statement
LA Community Alliance (LACA) aims to end hunger in Los Angeles by becoming a physical food pantry and by rescuing food and redistributing it to vulnerable families. We provide a dignified space for court-ordered community service and offer referral services to help individuals and families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
LA Community Alliance (LACA) is evolving to better serve the socially and economically oppressed members of greater Los Angeles. We are transitioning into a comprehensive food pantry with the goal to end hunger in LA, ensuring access to healthy food for those in need. Additionally, we provide a respectful and supportive environment for individuals to fulfill their court-ordered community labor and service hours with dignity. Beyond food assistance, LACA offers critical referral services to connect vulnerable individuals and families with essential resources and support systems. Our goal is to help them overcome challenges and achieve stability. By empowering our clients and fostering a sense of community, we strive to create lasting positive change in their lives. We also host an Annual Toy Experience for children where they get to meet Santa and the Grinch and receive toys without it feeling like charity.
