Mission Statement
Sound Singers was established in June 2009 as a community choir. We seek to build friendship among Japanese, Japanese-Americans and any others who are interested in Japan and Japanese music. Through Japanese songs we rediscover Japanese culture; and through other songs we deepen our understanding of other cultures.
About This Cause
We see ourselves as Japanese cultural ambassadors. We are the only Japanese mixed choir in the northern part of Puget Sound, with a mission to share authentic Japanese culture to local communities. Though many of us are Japanese or of Japanese descent, we welcome anyone to sing with us and to enjoy our concerts. We regularly perform at cultural events, fund raising events, and nursing homes.
