Mission Statement
Maslow Project is a nonprofit grassroots organization based in Medford, Oregon providing street outreach and basic needs, crisis intervention and advocacy, and essential support services to homeless children and youth–ages 0-21–and their families in Jackson and Josephine County.
About This Cause
Maslow Project’s mission is to empower homeless youth and families to engae and thrive indepdently in all aspects of life by providing supports that stabilize and strengthen resilency. Roughly one out of every 10 students in Jackson County, Oregon meets the Federal definition of homeless. Maslow Project focuses on finding these kids, ensuring their basic survival needs are met (food, clothing, safety), and supporting them as they work toward reaching higher-level goals. We focus on “the big picture”– making sure kids can get to, and stay in school–learning valuable life skills, becoming employable, and ultimately, finishing their education.
