Mission Statement
Working with volunteers and community groups, we provide short-term survival services, as well as active service experiences for volunteers, & additional long-term services in collaboration with the City of Santa Fe and other local service provider partners.
About This Cause
The Interfaith Community Shelter offers safe, hospitable overnight shelter, warm meals and an array of life-stabilizing services to homeless and near-homeless individuals. Among the services that people who come to the Resource and Opportunity Center are clothing, showers, lunches, mail and notary services and case management. What is case management? It is an opportunity to engage with someone who is trained to find services that will ultimately, with the cooperation of the guest, lead to a permanent housing solution. Those services can range from health care, mental health care, substance use treatment, obtaining IDs and birth certificates, etc. The Shelter works with a number of community partners who come into the building to provide many of the wrap-around services our guests desperately need.
