Mission Statement

LifeNet International (LN) transforms African healthcare and saves lives.

About This Cause

Health in sub-Saharan Africa is precarious and unpredictable—for every 1,000 newborns, 76 will not live to see their 5th birthday. LifeNet International works to change outcomes like these by improving healthcare for people in rural African communities. LifeNet does not reinvent the wheel—instead, we work within established local healthcare facilities, building and strengthening the services they provide through practical clinical and managerial training, hands-on mentoring, and access to supplies. With LifeNet’s support, local healthcare facilities gain the clinical skills they need to save lives in their communities and the financial skills they need to keep their doors open. No person should die from a preventable cause. We are making that a reality. In 2022, 3,984 mothers' and babies' lives were saved at birth thanks to LifeNet's work. Our program doubles the quality of care vulnerable communities receive and we do it all for less than $1 per patient visit. Our 410 partner health facilities in Uganda, Burundi, DRC, Kenya, Malawi, and Ghana will treat over 8 million patient visits in 2023, ensuring millions of vulnerable patients have access to high quality healthcare.
