Mission Statement
Kendo is a way to discipline the human character through the application of the principles of the katana (Japanese sword). It is a traditional spiritual art emphasizing discipline, character building, etiquette/manners, physical fitness, and friendship in order to facilitate greater harmony between all people. Kendo is NOT a form of self defense, and is not steeped in mysticism, nationalism, or violence.
