Mission Statement
MESA-OUTREACH, INC. is dedicated to fostering a nourished and empowered community in Northwest Harris County. Through compassionate assistance programs and referrals to other vital services, we strive to alleviate hunger, promote education, and uplift individuals and families. Our mission is to assist individuals on the road to self-sufficiency, while fostering a sense of belonging and dignity for all members of our community. About This Cause
MESA-OUTREACH, INC. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Northwest Houston area, including Cypress and Katy. Our mission is to support vulnerable individuals and families through essential services, food assistance, and community-centered programs. The MESA Food Pantry serves eight zip codes—77041, 77043, 77079, 77084, 77094, 77095, 77433, and 77449—and is one of the few evening food pantries in Harris County. We distribute perishable and non-perishable food every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 PM by appointment only. As a partner with the Houston Food Bank, we also offer monthly produce distributions on the third Saturday of each month from 8:30 to 11:00 AM. New Client registration for those not currently registered as MESA clients is every Wednesday from 10 AM - 2 PM. In addition to food support, MESA provides wrap-around services and referrals to partnering agencies to address broader community needs. We host key annual events such as Stuff the Bus in August and Share the Table in November. Our Books2Kids program promotes early literacy by providing books to PreK through 5th-grade students to build home libraries. We also offer scholarships to high school seniors who are active volunteers and plan to continue their education. At MESA, we believe in neighbors helping neighbors.
