Mission Statement
Mosaic SA supports Mosaic Community Developments, with programs based in South Africa that seek to surround the tens of millions of orphan and vulnerable children and their caretakers throughout the continent of Africa, with the environment they need to flourish by uplifting the communities and foster families that care for these children. Funds raised are used to support the Programs of Mosaic Community Developments, which include the Family Development Program for Parent, Child and Skills Development programs that are provided to the beneficiaries in the local community.
About This Cause
Mosaic's Family Development Program is the core of Mosaic's 3-layer approach to orphan and vulnerable child care programs. It includes Parent, Child, and Skills Development programs currently operating out of 3 community centers in South Africa. The Mosaic Model consists of: *Family: Mosaic identifies families that are currently fostering or have adopted at least two orphans; serving them in Mosaic-built community centers. *Education: Mosaic creates better futures for orphan & vulnerable children through access to higher-quality schools, after-school programs, talent development programs, emotional and spiritual care programs, and access to college scholarships for interested young adults in programs. *Employment: If foster parents don't have a job to sustain their family, Mosaic assists in access to skills training and provides job coaching, helping them find reliable jobs that provide sustainable income to ensure basic needs are being met. *Sustain Flourishing: Continued life skills training for parents.
