Mission Statement
To serve the impoverished of our local Central Florida community with our Mobile Kids Club Program. This program & volunteer team are driven to direct needs with resources, empowering individuals to help themselves, restoring their hope by offering encouragement, guidance, direction, food care packages, fresh fruit & vegetables, basic necessities, a sense of community and empathy.
About This Cause
This charity was founded in 2009 by Mark & Rhonda Santolin. We began our focus on the needs of the homeless we encountered living in the woods of Central Florida. After recognizing the needs of the homeless surpassed our abilities, we redirected our attention in 2011 to the homeless & displaced children attending schools each day with our Kids Club Program brought to their schools. This program brought food care packages & mentoring weekly to the children identified at the schools to be in need. With the limitations of time constraints and inability to fully identify all the children in need in 2015 we redirected our Kids Club Program to go directly to the children in need where they lived. The Kids Club Mobile Program goes to substandard motels where many children, families & elderly individuals are forced to live. We have seen great results with this new endeavor as we are able to fully serve the people without time constraint, getting to know the entire family, directing specific needs with established community programs, mentoring the children consistently by empowering them to focus on their education to change their futures & providing them with information on ways to do just that! Our Mobile Program has the following centers at each event: CAFE (a hot meal is served to over 130+ people at each event), INSPIRATION STATION (mentors, books, crafts, college & military representative to talk to, volunteers to help with resumes & available jobs in the community), FARMER'S MARKET (fresh fruits & vegetables are distributed), IF YOU NEED IT STORE (donations of household items, clothing, shoes, & more are available for free in a store like setting where they are waited on), & CAFE DINING AREA (where those we serve sit down to eat as a community along with our volunteers who wait on them & converse with them to encounter any needs we may be able to assist them with).
