About This Cause
Cherish Uganda exists to restore life and provide hope and a future for children living with HIV in Uganda. Cherish Uganda has 3 ministries: (1) CHERISH SCHOOLS: Both Cherish Primary School and Cherish High School enroll children who are both HIV-positive and HIV-negative. (2) FAMILY STRENGTHENING PROGRAM: We believe families should be together. We work with families who have HIV-positive children to help educate them on the best care practices for their HIV-positive family members. Our social workers, counselors, and hospital staff help guide families through raising a child with HIV or integrating a child with HIV into their home through fostering or adoption. (3) CHERISH HEALTH CENTER Cherish Health Center provides quality healthcare to the local community, the students at Cherish Schools, Cherish Uganda staff members, and families in our family strengthening program. The clinic offers HIV testing, services, and treatment, as well as a variety of other healthcare services, testing, and counseling.
