Mission Statement

The Wounded Warrior Mentor Program of San Antonio matches volunteer mentors with Wounded Warriors at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.

About This Cause

The mission of Wounded Warrior Mentor Program San Antonio is to help in goal setting, planning and preparing Wounded Warriors toward a new profession and a new life. The mentor and Wounded Warrior work in coordination with Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration and other supporting organizations. Mentors are sounding boards and advocates for the Wounded Warriors. Mentors help Wounded Warriors with the planning involved to answer the question: “What will my future life be in three to five years? WWMPSA provides a one on one bonding and mentor relationship for Wounded Warriors from all services and their families. Mentors are normally retired service academy graduates from the Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy at Annapolis or the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
