About This Cause

American Autism Association is a not for profit organization dedicated to supporting families with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This initiative is carried out by providing a plethora of resources accessed through our website, Autism Help Hotline, informational workshops and support groups. AAA also provides youth therapeutic recreational programs to low income families at little or no cost. AAA strives to help families step by step through the unique journey in which autism takes them. Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, motor, or behavioral challenges. The term "spectrum disorder" means that the variety of symptoms can range in severity from mild to debilitating. It is said that around 1 in every 68 American children are on the autism spectrum. American Autism Association is devoted to spreading awareness of autism and helping families who have children with autism.
