Mission Statement
Ultimate Peace builds bridges of friendship, trust, and leadership among youth divided by conflict, using the values-based sport of Ultimate as our tool. Our vision is that youth from diverse social and cultural backgrounds in the Middle East will work collaboratively to bring about sustainable social change as the next generation of peace-building citizens.
About This Cause
Ultimate Peace operates in the Middle East, bringing together Arab and Jewish Israeli teens around the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. The core values of UP are mutual respect, non-violence, integrity, friendship, and fun. Ultimate's Spirit of the Game makes it a unique sport for teaching teens how to co-exist. UP has three programs. A week long camp is run each summer, bringing together campers from the Middle East and coaches from around the world. The year round program teaches ultimate and UP's values in multiple villages throughout Israel. And the Leaders in Training program includes 50+ teens who work together through a three year program to further develop relationships among participants and leadership skills.
