Mission Statement
The Dragonfly Foundation helps pediatric cancer patients and their families find strength, courage, and joy. We do this by providing emotional, relational and practical support from diagnosis through long-term recovery.
About This Cause
The Dragonfly Difference The Dragonfly Foundation holds a unique place in the landscape of non-profit organizations focused on pediatric cancer. For children and young adults who have not had the opportunity to live their life to the fullest, we must be even more dedicated to supporting them as they face the physical, emotional, and financial challenges of their illness, their extended and isolating hospitalizations, and their long-term recovery. The services we provide also support and benefit immediate families who struggle with the implications and realities of a loved one fighting a potentially life-limiting disease. We understand that even though treatment may end, the post-traumatic stress of treatment, the challenges of side effects from treatment, and the anxiety of recurrence continue to challenge patients and families today and for years to come. The Dragonfly Foundations serves five locations of four partner hospitals: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (2 locations) and Dayton Children’s Hospital in Ohio and The Children’s Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago IL.
