About This Cause
Feeding Children Everywhere, Inc., doing business as U.S. Hunger, was established in 2010 following the earthquakes that hit Haiti to provide emergency food assistance. Since our inception, U.S. Hunger has become a pivotal force in addressing global and domestic food insecurity through innovative and community-focused approaches. Our mission is to feed families today and unite them to a healthier tomorrow. We do so by activating volunteers and fostering strategic partnerships to provide meals to those in need while addressing the root causes of food insecurity. We have mobilized over one million volunteers and distributed more than 184 million meals across 53 countries, including every state in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Our two primary initiatives, Hunger Projects and Full Cart, exemplify our commitment to combating food insecurity with dignity and impact. Hunger Projects are dynamic, high-energy meal-packing events that engage communities to provide direct relief to those in need. These events have successfully contributed to local food banks and pantries, directly supporting low-income families and individuals. The Full Cart program, furthermore, revolutionizes how food assistance is delivered. This online platform offers discreet and dignified access to food while also collecting valuable insights from recipients about their experiences with food insecurity. Their feedback informs our broader strategy to tackle systemic issues such as economic instability and healthcare inaccessibility, aligning with our goal to advance health equity nationally. Through our comprehensive and empathetic approach, we continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of millions while advocating for systemic change to advance health equity.
