Mission Statement
When falling on hard times, many families face the hard decision of having to give up their pets. This accounts for millions of pets that are destroyed in county shelters each year in the United States. Pet Buddies' hopes to decrease this burden on families by providing pet food, supplies, spay & neuter, and education through our mobile outreach program. Families should not have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization.
About This Cause
We provide temporary pet food and supply assistance for families in need. Every month we deliver pet food and supplies to seniors, disabled, veterans, medically fragile and the homeless through our mobile outreach program. In addition, we provide vet care as needed. Our Teddies' Fund provides additional support for families who have senior pets with extra needs. TNR - trap, neuter, return of community cats in the city. We create pop-up community projects in under-served communities - We donate pet food, offer free spay/neuter, supplies and basic health care needs. Host and sponsor free workshops to build cat houses and more! We provide free spay and neuter to families in need - we fix approximately 300+ pets annually. We care for several cat colonies daily, and maintain their vet care as needed. We rescue/foster street kittens or pregnant moms several times a year. We help educate and find solutions for dogs & cats living in poor conditions.
