Mission Statement
The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno (LRRF), was established out of a growing need to rescue and provide loving homes for abused, abandoned, and unwanted Labs in the greater Fresno and Central California area. We are an all volunteer, 100% foster based local organization and do not have a facility to house our dogs. We rely completely on donations from our dog loving community to help with medical expenses, food and supplies to meet the needs of our Labs. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. About This Cause
The purpose of "Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno" is to rescue abandoned, homeless and neglected Labrador Retrievers. To end suffering and promote the welfare of Labradors through direct action and education of responsible pet ownership. To supply love, human companionship, shelter, food, medical care and spay-neuter services through local veterinarians until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home. We promote and wish to eliminate the euthanasia of any healthy, adoptable Labrador Retriever in our country. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for any animal. We believe each dog’s life is meaningful and each deserves a loving home. The Central California area has one of the highest euthanasia rates in the U.S. We promote the increase of public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue and to end the killing of adoptable animals through spay and neuter advocacy. Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno believes that all companion animals should be treated with dignity, compassion and kindness.
