Mission Statement

We believe that a prison term should not define the rest of a person's life. Our mission is to provide a safe and encouraging place for women to restart their lives, to support them in re-establishing their dignity and sense of self-worth, and to help them gain new-found confidence in their ability to live a productive and fulfilling life.

About This Cause

Prison Aftercare Christian Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates Grace Home, a transitional residence program for women who are being released from incarceration. In many cases, the only available option is to return to the location and environment in which their path to incarceration began. Our program provides a residential program that gives women a safe-haven from their past and from the streets. Women receive assistance with employment, health care, and counseling through partnerships with other non-profit agencies. They are also required to enroll in ongoing life-skills education through a partner organization. This education program is nine months in duration and covers such areas as personal finance, the importance of personal responsibility in society, and the preparation for housing after transition.
