About This Cause
Every dollar funds a new young researcher with an idea to come off the shelf, develop data in the laboratory and move that idea into clinical trials. The setting for this is the top tier Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University at the Feinberg School of Medicine. The researcher's mentorships unique in America are dual tracks : supervision by a basic scientist and supervision by a clinical researcher. The initial cancer is urinary bladder cancer for there has been little progress over fifty years. The mentors are Steve Miller, PhD and Joshua Meeks, Md PhD. The duration of the funding is three years for each new investigator. The initial work began November 2017
