Mission Statement
1ofUs supports breast and gynecological cancer patients and their families by providing immediate financial assistance for housing, transportation, nutrition, and other essential costs of living. We accomplish this by mobilizing the philanthropic resources of individuals, businesses, and foundations across North Carolina.
About This Cause
1ofUs was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina with a mission of helping women undergoing cancer treatment. Backed by a grass roots community of givers, 1ofUs was founded as 1 in 9 in 2010 to provide financial support for women undergoing breast cancer treatment. In 2016, after assisting nearly 1000 patients, the mission of this organization was expanded to assisting women being treated for all gynecological cancers. 1ofUs is proud to partner with: - Duke Health (Duke Women’s Cancer Care) in Raleigh, NC - ECU Health (Former Vidant Medical Center) in Greenville, NC as well as all 8 surrounding hospitals that serve the Eastern part of the state of North Carolina - UNC Health (UNC-REX Hospital and UNC- Lineberger Hospital) in Raleigh, NC, and Chapel Hill, NC respectively We are even prouder to continue to provide all that support through the generosity of local businesses and individual donors.
