Mission Statement
Judaism Unbound (also known under its official name of The Institute for the Next Jewish Future) is a hub for ideas, education, and action dedicated to accelerating bold innovation and creativity in Jewish life. We work toward the discovery and emergence of resonant forms of Jewish living for the 21st century. The Judaism Unbound podcast is currently our most well-known offering and can be found at www.judaismunbound.com. Other projects include The UnYeshiva (www.unyeshiva.com) and jewishLIVE (www.jewishlive.org).
About This Cause
Every initiative of Judaism Unbound (The Institute for the Next Jewish Future) empowers Jews to be bolder and more creative in their experimentation with the material of Judaism to the end of discovering more resonant forms of Jewish living as individuals and families and in community. We partner with small new organizations and larger longstanding institutions, in addition to engaging directly with “regular Jews.” The successful launch of the Judaism Unbound podcast (one of the most-downloaded Jewish podcasts) and website has demonstrated a hunger among “regular Jews” and Jewish leaders for thoughtful discussion and exposure to new ideas about the future of Judaism. With the addition of The UnYeshiva, a digitally driven center for Jewish learning and unlearning, and the jewishLIVE video streaming platform, Judaism Unbound is positioned as one of the most successful Jewish educational/leadership development initiatives focused on a bottom-up approach and using the internet as its primary distribution channel.
