Mission Statement

Through education, athletics, mentorship and intervention, the Downtown Boxing Gym empowers Detroit students to be positive and productive members of society.

About This Cause

The Downtown Boxing Gym is a free after-school academic and athletic program that provides Detroit students (ages 8-18) with the tools they need to succeed. DBG has had a 100% high school graduation rate since we opened our doors in 2007. Through tutoring, mentorship, enrichment programs, college and career prep, social-emotional skills building, basic needs support (transportation and meals) and so much more, we train kids for life.
