Mission Statement
In July 2003 American Muslim Voice Foundation, grassroots, nonviolent and inclusive organization was created. The organization was created by Muslims to work for and with all Americans. American Muslim Voice Foundation’s mission is to develop a safe, harmonious, and inclusive nation through grass roots community building. Within the larger goal of bridging gaps between communities are several objectives that highlight the American Muslim Voice Foundation's collective agenda in addition to their individual goals. We believe our nation's safety, security and wellbeing depends on us getting to know each other. To this end American Muslim Voice Foundation spends a great deal of time on outreach, working with other organizations as co-sponsors of multifaith, multi-cultural, peace building and community development events. We have hosted hundreds of open houses, dialogs, peace picnics, campus teach-ins, Eid Festivals, Ramadan dinners, peace conventions and a variety of other events aimed at building a beloved community where all of us feel safe and at home. American Muslim Voice Foundation has earned the respect of its peers and have been honored with awards and recognition by several organizations for successfully bridging gaps between communities. American Muslim Voice Foundation was founded on the belief that as humans, there are more things that unite us than divide us. Calling attention to the traits that unite us will help us understand and respect the traits that make us unique. American Muslim Voice Foundation celebrates diversity and values all human beings, regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, or creed. We regard all humans as equal and will stand by all oppressed and targeted communities in their plight.
