About This Cause

The AASoCV is the leading and oldest united Asian American organization in Central Virginia, representing 19 Asian American communities and over 50,000 Asian Americans. The AASoCV was established to unite all Asian American communities under one organization to connect with the region through community services and with other communities, and as one voice to express our needs and concerns. AASoCV is an all-volunteer organization; it has no paid employees and does not collect membership dues. All the funding collected has been used to give back to our area through the Asian American Celebration (AAC), community services (including health fair) and work, etc., as well as promoting diversity and inclusion, and fighting against hate and violence against Asian Americans. For twenty-six continuous years, the AASoCV has been promoting diversity in the region by presenting its free of admission annual signature event, the Asian American Celebration (AAC). We plan to host our 26th annual Asian American Celebration (AAC) on May 4, 2024 in person at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
