Mission Statement
Our mission is to place every pet that enters our shelter into a loving,permanent home; to motivate our local community to support our shelter, its no-kill mission, and spay-neuter efforts through donation, volunteer, and adoption opportunities.
About This Cause
Pets Without Parents Columbus is a no-kill, all-breed, dog and cat rescue with a shelter located in the area of Clintonville, Ohio. Most of our feline intakes are strays or owner surrenders that come from the central Ohio area. Most of our canine intakes come from shelters that euthanize for space. Other canines are owner-surrenders or strays. Pets Without Parents ensures that all pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, tested if appropriate, and examined prior to adoption. Medical and behavioral issues are treated/ addressed. No time limit is placed on finding them their forever home. On average, our adoption fees only cover 31% of the cost to care for the pets in our program. We rely on donations and fundraisers to help keep our doors open to those that need us most.
