Mission Statement
The mission of the Virginia Hispanic Foundation is to provide the Hispanic community with information and education, to successfully integrate themselves in Virginia.
About This Cause
The VHF accomplishes its goal by providing opportunities and resources that lead to the economic and social well-being of Latinos throughout their assimilation into the community and culture. The Pasaporte a la Educación Initiative is to keep Hispanic students on the path to higher education/skill set certification to decrease the dropout rate, and to prepare our future workforce through the following: Bilingual Leadership Mentoring Programs for Hispanic Students in Schools Bilingual Educational Web Portal Bilingual Educational Workshops and College Tours VHF Bilingual Business Center provides bilingual counseling and educational workshops to individuals that are interested in starting or growing their business, and assists minority businesses to obtain SWaM certification within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Educational Workshops aimed at Starting and growing a Business Bilingual One-on-One Business Counseling Employment Assistance through TrabajaVA VHF Pro bono legal clinics help low income individuals with Immigration and Civil issues have access to legal advice offered in partnership with local law firms. The Virginia Hispanic Foundation itself does not provide legal services, it only acts to connect the community to attorneys.
