OUR VISION An Orange County with food and nutritional security for all. Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1983 by the Council of Orange, Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Second Harvest operated under the Society of St. Vincent de Paul until 2011 when it transitioned to an independent 501(c)3 organization. Second Harvest now operates under its own Board of Directors, which is responsible for governance and oversight of the annual budget.
