About This Cause

Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) is a trusted partner on school campus' providing a variety of hands-on workshops, seminars, and ongoing supports that offer parents the tools to advocate for their children, know their rights as well as the know-how, responsibility, and opportunity to partner with schools, community and civic leaders. In response to the pandemic, PIQE expanded its curriculum to support California families with online connectivity and navigation, bridging families to resources, and helping families to re-engage and transition to distance learning during the COVID-19 crisis. PIQE has eight regional California offices serving families in 36 counties and nearly 400 schools annually. Our curriculum has been used in 16 languages. Nationally, PIQE partners with school leaders to help teachers and school administrators successfully engage with families from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Working with English Language Learners, immigrants, refugees and families caught in a cycle of poverty, PIQE delivers lessons that are informative, meaningful and interactive and which empower parents to become advocates for their children in a positive, productive, and constructive manner. Workshops offered include: K-12 Parent Engagement in Education; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for parents; Early Child Development; Early P-3 Literacy; Early P-3 Literacy; Teacher-Parent Engagement Workshop; Parent Leadership Development; Family Financial Literacy Education; Civic Engagement Program.
