Mission Statement

The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) provides opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities, so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. CAF believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence, and enhances quality of life.

About This Cause

Since 1994, the Challenged Athletes Foundation has been a catalyst for thousands of people with physical disabilities to redefine themselves through sport, contributed to shifting the narrative and global perception of people with disabilities, and united individuals under a common belief that increasing access to resources unlocks opportunity. CAF athletes, generous supporters, and like-minded partners have propelled this movement forward, changing lives, breaking barriers, and igniting futures. Together we are the MOVEMENT that’s empowering lives through sport, one athlete at a time. CONTRIBUTIONS FUND CAF's: 1. Grant Program: Providing sports prosthetics, adaptive sports equipment, and expenses for coaching, training, and competition travel. 2.
