Mission Statement
Innovation: Africa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2008 that uses Israeli technologies to provide access to clean water and green energy in remote villages in Africa. During the 15 years that the organization has been operating, we have been able to establish over 900 water and solar electricity projects in 10 African countries, improving the lives of more than 4.2 million people. Today, we continue to research, develop and upgrade our solutions according to trends in global development and to be pioneers in implementing solutions using the extensive data we monitor. We cooperate with external parties for the fight against climate change and constantly improve the efficiency of our technology.
About This Cause
Innovation: Africa uses solar energy to pump clean water from the aquifers to provide access to light and electricity for students to study and doctors to treat patients at night, as well as the use of computers and medical equipment in schools and medical centers. Along with access to light and clean water, the organization empowers local communities by providing training and economic opportunity throughout its countries of operation, which include Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, South Africa, eSwatini, Ethiopia and Senegal. Innovation: Africa ensures the sustainability and longevity of its projects by hiring local engineers and managers to oversee and monitor our projects. In addition, thanks to its Israeli designed and UN-award winning remote monitoring system, the organization's donors and teams are able to remotely monitor and track live each solar and water system and immediately address any issues that may occur.
