Mission Statement
The CCFA's mission is to empathetically nurture healthy relationships through education and prevention while providing individualized comprehensive treatment and advocacy to empower those we serve. The philosophy of The Center for Child and Family Advocacy, Inc. is to treat all clients with respect, help them to achieve self-determination, and to create an environment that fosters independence and is strength-based. The CCFA's vision is to serve the community focusing on the well-being of individuals including those affected by trauma through the collaboration of passionate, empathetic and ethical staff.
About This Cause
Funded by Federal, State, and local grants, the United Way, and the ADAMhs Board, The CCFA serves Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding and Williams counties. The CCFA offers a variety of programs that are listed below: Individual Therapy: Sandtray Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy Family Therapy Parenting Classes Home-Based Therapy: Parenting, Domestic Violence Education/Support Group Therapy: Adult Sex Offender Treatment, Batterer's Intervention Program, Problematic Sexual Behaviors, Women Who Use Force Supervised Visitation Victim Advocacy & Children's Advocacy Center Case Management SART Clinic Prevention: Play it Safe!, Stewards of Children, Safe and Health Relationships - Diversion Sexting Program Support Groups: Support Our Sisters - Survivors of Domestic Violence / Trust your Wings We also provide a safe domestic violence shelter in a home-like atmosphere that is complete with a kitchen, dining room, 5 bedrooms, family room, play room, laundry facility, a fenced-in backyard with a play set for the children and patio furniture. It provides safe housing for women and children who are victimized by domestic violence. While at the shelter, women receive brief individual counseling as well as support from staff and peer support groups. Shelter: Domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and stalking shelter.
