Mission Statement
To ensure every child is empowered with essential skills to be successful in kindergarten and beyond. We do this by operating high-quality early learning centers, helping families find quality child care, partnering with teachers and providers to improve program quality and advocating for greater access to early educational opportunities for all Hoosier families.
About This Cause
Early Learning Indiana, formerly Day Nursery Association, is the oldest child care provided in the state of Indiana, and is one of the few multi-site non-profit child care agencies in the Indianapolis area. Created in 1899 by the King's Daughters Society to provide care for the children of working mothers, we have grown to serve over 1,000 children yearly in our 11 Day Early Learning centers. All DEL centers are National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited - a distinction shared by only 10% of child care centers nationwide.
