Mission Statement

Dayspring Center was established in 1987 to meet the basic needs of homeless families with children seeking assistance and connect them to opportunities that will empower them to end their homelessness.

About This Cause

Dayspring Center has been a refuge for central Indiana’s homeless families for over 32 years and one of the few service agencies today that can address the needs of the entire family, including children of all ages, regardless of race, creed or circumstance. Dayspring Center has three distinct programs to assist the entire family at every critical point on their road to self-sufficiency: 1) Emergency Shelter Services 2) Follow-up Program and 3) Children’s Services Program. During a family’s stay at Dayspring Center, parents and children receive life's essentials (food, clothing and safe shelter) and the support services needed to sustain an independent way of life. It is our goal at Dayspring to empower homeless families and their children with the life skills, resources and resolve to effect permanent change and achieve their goals for “healthy family”, independent living. On average, Dayspring Center will assist over 160 families each year, including 500 children.
