Mission Statement
Through schools, Bridgepointe hopes to enhance the lives of children and their families in a targeted area of southwest Detroit, by providing academic and social support.
About This Cause
Understanding that school is the center of community, Bridgepointe has brought volunteers to the classrooms, hallways and playgrounds of southwest Detroit for 25 years. We have carried out academic enrichment programs, tutoring, sponsored field trips all in supporting and supplementing our partner schools' educational objectives. We have developed and support a school food pantry and clothes closet helping at risk families in the school community. Parents and students are encouraged to further Bridgepointe's programs with hands-on involvement. There are no paid employees and no overhead so 100% of all donations go directly to the programs, children, families and work we do in Detroit.
