Mission Statement

We believe that youth, regardless of family wealth, deserve an opportunity to achieve . . . higher education is a proven route to upward mobility & all of our youth deserve a fair chance to pursue their aspirations.

About This Cause

“The median weekly pay in 2020 for workers with a bachelor’s degree was $1,305, compared with $938 for those with an associate’s degree and $781 for high school graduates", according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. THAT'S PRECISELY WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO…WE DO WHAT WE CAN TO GET FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS THE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT THEY NEED TO MAKE ACHIEVING THAT WELL-DESERVED DEGREE A LITTLE EASIER. “A lot of people think if you give a kid a scholarship, now the kid’s set, they’ve got everything they need,” said Chris Metzler, director of student services at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Pennsylvania. “Nothing could be further from the truth.” Donations go toward a critical pool of Supplemental Scholarship Funds that allow All Out for Change®, a 501(c)(3), to provide invaluable awards to ambitious, financially disadvantaged college scholarship recipients who can’t afford college-related and living expenses. The fund helps to reduce the enormous debt burden that goes hand-in-hand with their acceptance of college scholarships to pursue degrees, professions and upward mobility. We work directly with DC International Charter School (DCI) staff to identify awardees. Thanks to the excellent education and college counselors DCI provides, many students achieve scholarships; and college counselors know of their financial needs. Your donations will assist select scholarship recipients with the myriad of essentials their wealthier peers’ families can afford, such as laptops, transportation to and from college, textbooks, meals, dorm and school supplies, housing, and more. Our Celebration of Achievements event featured student scholar, an aspiring opera singer, has received 4 awards thus far since 2017. Strongly believing that students deserve to pursue their well-deserved degrees, professional goals, and upward mobility with less worry about expenses and mountains of debt, we are committed to spread awareness of their financial conundrum, our educational system’s inequities, and bring folks together to pitch in to achieve our December 2023 goal of $200,000 for our select group of 2023 college bound newbies, 2022 & 2021 DCI grads.
