Mission Statement
The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, Inc. following the example of Jesus Christ, responds to community needs by serving all people, especially youth, through relationships and activities that promote healthy spirit, mind and body.
About This Cause
YMCA Camp Carson is a Southern Indiana overnight summer camp providing safe, fun, inclusive, healthy, & challenging camp experiences for youth since 1940. Almost half of our campers receive some sort of subsidy or scholarship, supported by our generous donors. Camp Carson also offers subsidized camp programs for campers from Military families. The Camp experience fosters confidence and inspires campers to take on even more challenging endeavors at camp and in life. Counselors guide campers in building friendships and relationships through a combination of individual attention and purposeful group interactions.
