Mission Statement
The Tender Loving Care Animal Shelter provides, food, shelter and medical care for homeless animals brought to TLC.
About This Cause
Tender Loving Care was organized in 1974 because of the need we saw for homeless, abused and unwanted animals in the area. The numbers of stray and abandoned animals has drastically been reduced. Our adoption rate is very good due to the publicity in local newspapers, our website and through facebook, where we post videos of every animal in need of a home. We also promote spaying and neutering and offer the services at a more affordable price. We also do school programs, scouts and Safety Village in order to teach children how to take care of animals, prevent getting bitten, and to treat animals humanely. We also are very proud of our VIP program where volunteers take animals to area nursing homes to brighten the residents day. We are run solely on contributions and take no monies from any government agencies. To provide care for the animals at the shelter we hold numerous fundraisers throughout the year.
