Mission Statement

The Mercer County Family Crisis Center is a nonprofit agency dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and building a community free of abuse. The mission of the Mercer County Family Crisis Center is to support and respond to the needs of survivors of violence and/or abuse as well as their dependents in an effort to avoid further abuse.

About This Cause

As a domestic violence agency, we provide support and services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Our program's advocates can accompany victims to hospitals, police departments, and court hearings to assist them in understanding the proceedings. Our primary goal is to empower victims to rebuild their lives free from violence and abuse. Our Children's Advocacy Center consists of investigators, child protective services, prosecutors, medical personnel, and counselors who collaborate to investigate and prosecute child abuse cases. Our process includes a single interview that is less traumatic for the child and ensures a neutral environment for them to share their experiences. Services we provide include: A 24-hour crisis line for individuals who have been abused, battered, sexually assaulted, or threatened. Children's Programs Child Advocacy Children's Therapy ( We provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is an evidence-based therapy that has been proven to help individuals cope with their trauma) Community Prevention and Awareness Court Advocacy Crisis Intervention/Safety Planning Domestic Violence Counseling Domestic Violence Education Help with contacting DHS for Public Assistance Help find emergency shelter Housing Advocacy Individual Counseling Information and Referral Limited Transportation
