Mission Statement
The Southwest Side Seniors Service Organization (SSSSO) is a truly democratic organization that is closed to no one because of race, creed, age or sex that operates openly and effectively in pursuit of its social purposes. It exists to assist and encourage older persons to be active and effective citizens and participants in the economic, social, cultural and political life of their community and nation. The organization encourages senior citizens to participate in the Organization and the Garfield Ridge Satellite Senior Center and other associations throughout Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. It supports and advocates a variety of policies, laws and programs that promote the general welfare and interests of senior citizens.
