LINCOLN-WAY HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE INC

NEW LENOX, Illinois, 60451-3801 United States

Mission Statement

The Lincoln-Way Foundation was created in 1994 to enhance academic achievement in all the high schools in the district. We fundraise through campaigns/events & the net proceeds are donated back to the District in the form of scholarships, technology & fixed assets the school cannot afford or does not include in their budget. We have a committee that meets with the administration to vet the requests from the department heads so our donations reach the maximum number of students, year after year.

About This Cause

Through our campaigns (Bricks, Cents for Kids 210, Dinner Gala, Summer Fest, Planned Giving, School Calendars, Half Marathon & Partner Program), we generate funds from businesses & individuals who believe in supporting the Lincoln-Way High School District, its students, & their academic achievements so kids can progress onto continued education and build a brighter, more secure future. We have generated over $4.9 million since inception in 1994. Most recently, we donated $90,000 for library upgrades and collaborative teaching opportunities. In May, we donate over $31,500 in scholarships. The success of the Foundation is a reflection of the support of this community and dedication of our board of directors and volunteers. Several annual fundraising activities support the fundraising goals of the Foundation. Cents for Kids - is an employee payroll deduction program. Faculty and staff choose to support Lincoln-Way students by donating a set amount to the Foundation each pay period. Commemorative Bricks - The Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence is proud to offer the opportunity to recognize Lincoln-Way high school graduates with commemorative bricks. Each commemorative brick will be placed along the walls outside the graduate’s high school auditorium, allowing the honoree’s name to become a permanent part of his or her building. Dinner Gala/ Auction - provides an evening of fun, friendship and fundraising. Everyone in the community is invited to join us on February 12, 2022, at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. If you would like to make reservations, be a sponsor or donate an in-kind item for the silent or live auction, please contact us. The Lincoln-Way Half Marathon was formerly known as the Frankfort Half Marathon. The mission of the Lincoln-Way Foundation is to creatively generate financial support with which to enrich and enhance the opportunities and educational experiences of Lincoln-Way High School District 210 students. Proceeds from this race will go directly towards that mission. School Calendar is a “must-have” for Lincoln-Way families, and is offered online when you register your student or at schedule pick-up in August. Local businesses have discovered that placing an ad in the calendar is a cost-effective way to share their message with the families of Lincoln-Way students. Place your business ad in the calendar and connect with our Lincoln-Way families! Summer Fest - is fun and festive night of great food and music at CD & ME in Frankfort. The event will have multiple bands performing rain or shine in the beautiful surroundings from 6pm till 11pm. There will be food, refreshments, & raffles at this 21 and older event. What a great place to meet up with classmates or hold an alumni/reunion event. Come out with a group of friends & enjoy live music under the stars! Tickets will be sold online through our website and a limited number of tables can be reserved. If you'd be interested in sponsoring this event, contact the Foundation office at 815-462-2976. Planned Giving - is an important consideration in proper estate planning. For more than 65 years, Lincoln-Way High School has provided one of the finest educational experiences to families in the state. It is the goal of our Foundation to continue to support that mission for decades to come, but we need your help. Planned gifts give both you, the donor, & the Foundation an opportunity to map out a stable financial future. Planned gifts include bequests, trusts and annuities, and more. A planned gift gives you the chance to donate at a time that is best for you, and may provide several tax benefits. We can help provide estate planning tools so that you can look ahead & find for a way to include the Lincoln-Way Foundation for Educational Excellence in your overall financial plan. Partners of the Lincoln-Way Foundation enjoy unique donor benefits and demonstrate support of quality education in our community. Partner benefits include reservations to our events, ad space in the school calendar, Partner logo and ad rights, recognition plaque with a press release, listing on our website with a link to your business website, your business name included on signage at our events and opportunities to engage with the community.
