Mission Statement
The mission of RxART is to help children heal through the extraordinary power of visual art. RxART commissions established artists to create transformative and inspiring installations in pediatric healthcare facilities, making them less intimidating spaces for patients and their families. Every project is produced at no cost to the partner hospitals and each commissioned artist is provided with an honorarium.
About This Cause
RxART is a nonprofit organization operating throughout North America to transform children's hospital and healthcare facilities into engaging and inspiring healing environments. RxART works with it's partner hospitals to commission exceptional contemporary artists to transform critical care settings into uplifting environments full of beauty, humor, and comfort. RxART produces every project at no cost to our partner hospitals. Each commissioned artist is provided with an honorarium and the chance to transform the lives of children as they heal. Since 2000, RxART has completed 53 projects with more than 60 artists in 36 hospitals throughout 20 cities in the United States.
