Mission Statement
HBF is a private, non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to raising funds from the private sector to provide much needed medical and kennel supplies, equipment and better living conditions to the animals at the BARC municipal shelter located at 3200 Carr Street., Houston, Texas. Since 2013, the BARC Foundation has worked in partnership with the City of Houston to complete funding for the new, state of the art BARC Adoption Center. We are also dedicated to improving the lives of all animals throughout our community by raising awareness for responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter practices, pet adoption and the humane treatment of all animals.
About This Cause
Private foundation dedicated to raising funds for the City of Houston's municipal animal shelter through special events and grass roots contributions. At any given time, the shelter may house over 500 animals through owner-surrender, strays and rescues from animal cruelty situations.
