About This Cause
CDP is a global nonprofit that focuses capital markets, companies, cities, and governments to disclose and act on their environmental impacts. This data informs our network of over 560 financial institutions representing over $106 trillion in assets, and 150 purchasing companies representing over $4 trillion in market cap. Corporations, governments, financial institutions, and NGOs around the world use CDP data and insights to make better-informed decisions to shift capital towards a low-carbon economy. Our reporting platform collects data annually from over 10,000 companies on their business operations related to climate change, water security, and deforestation, as well as disclosure from over 1,000 cities, states, and regions on climate resilience and adaptation efforts. The result of this disclosure across sectors and geographies is the world’s most comprehensive collection of accessible, comparable, and self-reported environmental data used to drive action on climate change.
