Georgian Apostolic Orthodox Church in North America was filed with the Government of the District of Columbia on September 10, 2010

About This Cause

The mission of the Church is as follows: • To proclaim the Gospel throughout the followers, as well as non-followers of Orthodox Christianity; • To teach, baptize and nurture new believers; • To educate Orthodox Christians, as well as the followers of other confessions, agnostics and atheists on the matters of Christian, especially Orthodox Christian, philosophy, ethics, traditions, teachings, culture and history; • To promote and publicize the history of Georgian Orthodox Christianity through lectures, seminars, publications, conferences, mass media and missionary work; • To provide spiritual and material support to those in need and seeking such support; • To provide humanitarian assistance to those in need within the capabilities of the Church; • To support its members and parishioners in following Orthodox Christian faith, values and traditions, as well as to carry out missionary activities in order to spread Orthodox Christianity; • To organize Bible studies and the studies related to other theological matters; • To perform all religious functions and services pursuant to Orthodox Christian canon laws and rules; • To serve as a parent Church for other Georgian and non-Georgian parishes and Orthodox Christian communities and organizations which become the members of the Church.
