Mission Statement
As the charitable arm of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated the LMPF exists to uphold, amplify and build sustainability through investing in meaningful, focused programing reaching our targeted communities of youth and women. Our initiatives focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, education, and technology to combat societal and cultural barriers and create a path forward for intentional success. Each programmatic function is supported by public and private alliances that uphold our ideals and build bridges for wider connections. Our core values of empowerment, building and nurturing relationships, and volunteerism are shaped by our commitment to: 1. Empower women and youth to achieve financial independence 2. Create stakeholder relationships that advance and support our mission and 3. Consistently dedicate resources that support the needs of the organization and its overall goal to advance the mission.
About This Cause
We believe that leadership, entrepreneurship, education, and technology are just four of the critical components to the success of our communities. We believe that these components are the building blocks of our key objectives which can be achieved through strategic partnerships with public and private entities, as well as, local community businesses. Though LMP Foundation is at the beginning stages of its journey, the organizations administrative requirements have been met. We are incorporated, complete with, 501-C (3) tax exempt status, in our nation’s capital, Washington D.C.
