Mission Statement
Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan (R3M) has more than 100 years of experience in addressing the most basic needs among people: shelter, food, and clothing. With time, we have increased our effectiveness by expanding our facilities and by improving our life skills program and employment preparedness. Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan is an autonomous nonprofit corporation. As a 501(c)(3), Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan, Inc. is our organization’s recognized, legal identity.
About This Cause
The need for emergency shelter is what brings most people through our doors. When a guest arrives, we aim to project warmth, structure, and compassion. A case worker meets with the guest to: • Fully address the needs faced by the homeless person • Assist them with the immediate need for shelter, clothing, and food • Present ways to grow their spiritual life • Introduce tools that will improve their Life Skills and lead them to become a productive member of our community • Assess their employment status and whether they qualify for the Employment Readiness training
