Mission Statement

Child Care Network’s mission is to promote the success of children, families and our community through quality child care education, advocacy and family support.

About This Cause

Child Care Network (CCN) is a non-profit organization originally founded in 1971 in Washtenaw County to help connect families with child care programs that met their needs. Since that time, our programs have greatly expanded to support children, families, and child care providers, and we have expanded to 6 additional counties: Genesee, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, and Monroe. Child Care Network has three main programs: The mission of CCN is to promote the success of children, families, and our community through quality child care education, advocacy, and family support. We do this through several different programs, including: Great Start to Quality (GSQ) Southeast Resource Center – This program gives child care programs and their staff access to resources that help improve quality. Early childhood educators are able to access a resource lending library, attend professional development training, and receive onsite consultation. Family Support Program – This program provides child care scholarships for low to moderate income families who need help paying for child care. Through this program, children are able to access quality child care and families are able to maintain employment and reach higher education goals. Community Programs – We have several smaller programs that work to serve children, families, and child care providers, including, among others, the Family, Friend, and Neighbor Engagement Program, and the Early Childhood Talent Pipeline.
