About This Cause
Friends-International is an international social enterprise established in Cambodia in 1994 to build a future where all children are safe from all forms of abuse, become functional, productive citizens of their countries and contribute to a more peaceful, equitable and sustainable world. Friends-International works in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand and with 50 partners around the world, providing protection, education, training and employment opportunities to marginalized urban children, youth and their families. Every year, Friends-International is supporting the education, well-being, and sustainable reintegration of more than 80,000 marginalized children, youth, and their families. Impact in 2019: - 6,550 children directly supported with education - 1,709 students trained in our vocational training programs and placed in employment - 567 caregivers trained or supported to access employment - 1,132 families received emergency support - 437,714 life-skills services to marginalized children, youth and families
